My Thoughts
I found this book at Real Goods and the title piqued my interest. Much of the literature available at Real Goods pertains to sustained and independent living, so I imagined the land discussed in the book would be particularly rural and far from any civilization. That didn't bother me though; I've known people that had very remote land as a get-away and rural play land. So I thought a get-away (preferably reachable by small plane) would be really cool.

I was not entirely correct about the book. The land featured in the book includes improved land and houses and some really interesting ways to get title to such property for very little money. The book has sparked an interest in learning how to acquire property at tax sales. I don't think many people do it -- I hear its hard, but it looks interesting to me.

The book is a really easy read and is very accessible. It was a restroom and nightcap book. I stopped reading when the book got into buying land in Canada and other types of land that doesn't interest me.

Recommended.
